Indie hip-hop artist James Gardin (fka PHILTHY from that Blat Pack! crew) has released a new single titled "I Cry." The song is off his EP Moleskines & Pocketsquares. The song speaks about depression, mental illness and suicide.
"As selfish at it sounds, sometimes the last person we think about in suicide are the people who are left alive. Wondering what they did wrong or how they missed the signs did they not love their child, spouse or friend enough. Depression is a demon I'd rather see dead and gone, but people are victimized by it every day. I think we have to let people know we appreciate them every chance we get. Knowing that you're not on this sinking ship alone may be the solidarity you need in order to wake up another day and keep living this life that you're blessed with." - James Gardin
Beat production by Trebles and Blues.
The "Moleskines & Pocketsquares" EP is available now as a free download on Noisetrade.
